This looks like the cover art for NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL CIVIL RIGHTS VOLUME XLIX
Any Reasonable Person: “Guys, you can’t terrorize and murder unarmed Americans.”

I feel bad for the dog. But not as badly as I do for black men against whom the police are weaponized.
Let’s film Helen Mirren dressed as Queen Elizabeth II reading this so Damon can get a screenwriting Oscar.
That poor dog has to have some serious PTSD. Like it probably rolls over every time it hears the n word.
I’m submitting this piece for a Pulitzer.

Would it? We could also easily assume that if he had pulled over from the getgo, his life may have been in more danger because there wasn’t anyone around to defend him. We have seen plenty of stories of officers shooting black people and then making up some bogus excuse about how dangerous the black person was and how…
Just ask Philando Castile who “just pulled over”
Seriously. I can’t even bring myself to watch the video.
That was just horrible to watch..and obviously traumatized several people who had to be involved. Even though I knew he wouldn’t be shot, my heart was in my mouth.
And that Grandma, God love her..that is one brave woman.
I remember that being started in California after it was discovered that a CHP officer was pulling women over in remote areas to harass them, and eventually strangled one.
This is even more maddening because numerous times I have witnessed white people cursing, spitting, threatening, hitting cops, including one who pulled out his pasty little thing and wagged it at them. None of them died, few were arrested, none were beaten or tased and zero were surrounded by armed thugs with guns…
It is my understanding that you have the right to drive somewhere you feel safe if you are being pulled over for a minor traffic violation like this. If you obey all laws in the process you aren’t “fleeing and eluding.”
JFC...that statement hits hard
Used to be the advice was to drive to the police station if you thought something was up.
Later, in the video, Anders’ 90-year-old grandmother walks towards Anders and then falls on top of him as officers move to handcuff him.
