Lost my great mom 13 years ago and want to both offer my sympathy and experience that thanks to having such a great mom, you will be filled with joy, sadness and longing, too, but mostly joy when remembering her. ❤️

I’ve had white women ask to touch my hair, and in some cases not asked and touched anyway, which is very curly. It would never occur to me to ask that question of anyone, regardless. I’ve also never felt the desire to touch someone’s hair. 

I expected a Deep Thought from Jack Handey and am very disappointed.

It would make sense that we all learn Spanish, given the number of Spanish-speaking Americans as well as the fact that this country will have a majority of Hispanics soon.  Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I’m an old lady and I think he seems sweet.

Right? Better than my husband who has said, on occasion, “You’re the one who wanted kids!”

Me kid went on a school trip to D.C. last year and had to suffer the little shits in their maga hats. After a trip to the Holocaust Museum, she then had to suffer through Holocaust jokes from the same kids because she’s the only Jew in her class. When entitled white boys get together, no one is safe. No one.

I cleaned up after my kid when we went to restaurants, family-oriented or not. I’d pick up the floor, wipe the table, put everything back in order. It’s ungodly how much mess a kid can make!

We live near a college town with a dedicated retail/bar/eating area designed for college students. Since she became old enough to know the difference, our kid refuses to eat in any restaurant that has too many college students.  Six of one . . .

I was in this very situation with my husband bout nine years ago and I kick myself every day for not waking. Bottom line, give it lots of thought and make sure if you do stay, it’s for the right reasons. I’m pretty sure I stayed based on habit, his begging, we have a child who was very young at the time, etc.  I so…

Amen. I would give anything to spend just one evening with my mom. Cheers, fellow orphan!
