Have you never played a single-player game before? There’s stuff to do until there isn’t. That’s how they all work. Look up the Uncharted series while you’re at it, or for a more similar game, Assassin’s Creed. There’s nothing wrong with a game that’s lots of fun for a dozen hours.
I always joked that Bethesda wrote games the way Microsoft makes operating systems — wait for a couple service packs before you expect it to be stable. Now they can help each other be ... less stable?
So you’re not looking?
Sudden memories of the N64 era.
Microsoft would probably make a lot more money selling PC games to PC gamers and console games to other consoles (like Nintendo and Sony) and just getting out of hardware. Microsoft is not a hardware company.
He really doesn’t get it, does he? Its not how good Sony or Nintendo are at making deals — its that they make a lot of fun games and consoles designed to play them. When’s the last time Microsoft bought a small third party and helped them turn out a mega-hit instead of buying a huge third party and making all their…
That’s a nice story. Data to back it up? Oh wait there it is: 14. Sony owns 14 studios. Microsoft owns 23.
Oh man that’s amazing. Also, how does a writer like Luke manage to ignore *who* is speaking in this story?
I honestly don’t understand people who play main quests first.

Little fallacy there: not being "shovel ware" doesn't mean goty quality. There's lots of room in the middle.
So many people in this world that think bad things profit from everything you do. From grocery store owners to some random shareholder in your favourite car company.
EA was the Microsoft of gaming ... generic and good enough for many people, but never excellent. Now Microsoft is trying to be the Microsoft of gaming instead :)
Okay. Have you looked? Because there’s quite a few AAA games in this list:
Go complain to Nintendo fans about backward compatibility.
Really? PS4 sold 117 million units (that’s more than the Switch or Wii). Doesn’t look like it hurt them much. They invested in PSNow instead (now part of PS Plus).
I have seen nothing but constant advertising, I mean reviews, for the PSVR2 on YouTube. Everyone in gaming seems to have reviewed one and loved it so far. If you’re not aware of it, you’re not paying attention. They don’t need to pay for “advertising” when everyone they stick it in the hands of loves using it and raves…
Great news, the PS4 lasted me for 8 years too. So will the PS5. Neither cost as much as my last GPU purchase alone. Lets stop pretending PC builds are cost effective.
Because its a fantastic device that only costs as much as a low-end RTX video card? Lets have some perspective here.
