Ratchet and Clank did the same thing; they left something like 20 black lines (700p instead of 720p) to keep the 60fps render speed. Well worth it tbh.

Why pre-order anything unless it comes with amazing exclusives and its from a known entity? I pre-ordered a couple Uncharted games, specifically to get the limited editions, but I can't imagine doing that with a new title.

I loved the detail the reviewer gave in determining what they disliked about the game as it gives a starting point for knowing if I agree. I care about a good story, and I like imaginative creature battles so I imagine I wouldn't enjoy this game either.

The really great exclusives are rarely out in the first 18 months; but I'd expect a bunch this year tbh. The problem is that a lot of companies expected the One and PS4 to be basically comparable to work with and went multi-plat instead; and were wrong.

So on a repetitive multi-player game ranking system of zero to Destiny, how does Evolve compare? :)

If you're not interested in multiplayer games, Evolve is probably not for you. Sure, there's a singleplayer campaign in which you play as either one of four hunter classes or one of three monster classes, while the computer controls the other players. It's more of a glorified tutorial than a campaign, though. When it

Sadly I still see dozens of people a day comment "its just the Internet" or just as bad, comment on how they did something "in the real world" or with "real people" as though a random handle on the Internet isn't a real person with a real life.

Everyone sat around whining about wanting more open worlds in RPGs back when I was thoroughly enjoying FFX and its slightly hidden side quests and missions. Some of my favourite RPGs ever are still Grandia 3, Shadow Hearts (all) and Magna Carta (vastly underrated).

nmap looks for open ports on a machine or group of machines and can often identify which operating system is running on those machines as well.

Its not hard to have the AI ignore a basically inactive player.

Don't oh come on me — I perfectly enjoyed many of your other posts, but this one contains 4602 words; that's a serious piece of essay work. Its three times the optimal blog length (cf https://blog.bufferapp.com/the-ideal-leng…), and 500 words longer than the optimal seminar length (see above again).

Feel free to exercise without pain all you want; it will still work. That's why your aphorism is a myth.

Holy wall of text batman! I'm a big reader but I started skimming about half way through and then just gave up by the time I got to the media references. At no point did I actually read about this consensus that exists; only references to it. The whole article just proves that people *should* be confused, and does

The vast majority of adults can't make adult decisions, whether its about gambling or mortgages or hiring a contractor. Expecting a 19 year old to not trust his own parents in the midst of an incredibly time-consuming career is just hand-waving stupidity.

With a 3D printer, you can make optimally sized storage containers with their own 45 degree cleat connectors on the backs.

They didn't get anywhere near poor. That's like lower and upper middle class. The truly poor and truly wealthy don't even have comparable experiences. I remember seeing interviews with people of income brackets from $1M/yr down to $15k/yr about how their day goes on an average day, and how they think about what to

Ezio was my favourite assassin for sure.

I'm okay with embargoes, it tells me not to pre-order the game.

I have gone out to eat with difficult people I know, and I almost always pull aside the wait staff before the meal and explain and apologize in advance.
