Lovesongs For Underdogs is one of my all-time favorite albums, and one of those discs that reminds me of a very specific time in my life. I'm extremely fond of it.

So odd, I was literally thinking yesterday that I haven't listened to Happy Days in a long time and I should pull it out. I love that album and don't think of it as a miss-step at all.
For me it's all of them. Except for Fantastic Mr. Fox, where his sensibility seemed quite at home. With real actors and sets - not so much.
I will always love 30 Rock because "The Gimp married them at Colleen's funeral." makes perfect sense to anyone who saw the episode.
Toni's solo album as Chatelaine was really good…I LOVE her voice, even if she doesn't put much effort into her lyrics anymore (IMO). She described it as ramped-up Enya, which I can see.

What can be said, other than that Garbage inspire a ridiculous devotion in their fans.

What a ridiculous thing to say. To me a nostalgia act is one that rests on their past successes and plays shows only to belt out the hits that everyone is screaming for. Which is totally fine, more power to you. The B-52s did that for years and I had fun at their shows (then they put out a fresh album I quite liked a…

This review seems so obsessed with the past. Like it's refusing to acknowledge this album was released in 2012. Any band more than 10 years old has to deal with interviews and reviews that are just nostalgic circle-jerks, but I'd imagine Garbage are sick of having every print piece about them name drop a) nirvana, b)…

What are you talking about? They have shade tents all over the place specifically to provide shade. Yeah, you're still in the desert, but it can be a very comfortable experience.
Isn't it a bit condescending to assume a female-fronted super hero book should be suitable for girls? I know that sounds like a really stupid statement, but I don't think you can write these kinds of books for girls. Women can certainly read and appreciate them just as guys can, but this book should strive to be an…
I LOVED Rucka's run as well, but I think Simone, for all her convoluted plotting, really got her voice. I like the earnest WW. It's like she's level headed to the point of annoyance, even when she's waging war. Which brings me back to Rucka's run, and WW's best moment ever: when she quite resolutely killed Maxwell…
