Its true, they do have credit cards (Ive one of those cute clear ones), however they are mostly known for their green, gold, and silver charge cards. When someone talks about AMEX cards, they’re usually referring to one of those.

American Express is a charge card not a credit card. You’re expected to pay the balance in full every billing cycle.
