Not a Harley guy, but I love a deal. Truth is, the market for big cruisers is already smaller than the number of Boomer riders dying. This is just helping it along and there’s a number where I’ll suck it up and ride a hog.

I’m actually car shopping these days and FCA’s addiction to trim levels and options groups is pretty mind boggling.

Mitsubishi Boss: “Our sales aren’t where we’d like them. What should we do?”

Mumble, mumble...something about tax policy killing off the professional classes, fuel that doesn’t represent its full cost, oversize CUVs popularity driven by fantasies about vacations not taken, etc...mumble, mumble.

There is significant chatter, including veiled comments from Subaru, that 2021 will see the launch of a Forrester STI with a turbo.

Although you can refine biodiesel at home (and I have), I was really talking about commercially refined biodiesel.

Properly refined biodiesel works fine in modern direct injection motors. Trust me, I’ve run it for thousands of miles. It’s arguably better than dinodiesel, since it’s one of the best imaginable solvents and it’s got amazing lubricity.

Weird. Here in Colorado, pretty much every station has diesel, typically multiple pumps.

Rampside!

Model T SUV you say?

Nothing says “80s” like the monstrosity that was the Chevy Celebrity Eurosport VR. This is what GM thought they could compete with the world’s best sports sedans and coupes with in the 1980s. There’s a straight line from this to GM’s bankruptcy.

I can certainly attest that the Ambassador Bridge is every bit as decrepit as reports indicate. Is the maintenance worse than what a publicly maintained crossing might have undergone? Perhaps not, but for a $14-35 toll on a bridge that sees 14,000 vehicles a day, I’d expect better than the “just this side of unsafe”

AUTO KANN NICHT STARTEN/CAR CANNOT START

Literally my joke. A Zodiac in Granada. 🤣

I can see this seat pairing nicely with a cooling vest. I miss my vest almost as much as I miss my motorcycle.

Ah, look. Granada before they stopped using astronomical calendars.

Or, you know, a 2020 Montero that Australia gets but we don’t.

If they were serious about selling cars here, they’d sell this.

I guess I was speaking more generally. Your critique of this exact execution is spot on. My thoughts were more for a 21st century revist of the original concept, including a low tractor with the ability to rotate 360°.

It was an undeniably bad idea with 1970s tech. I could see it being a great platform for a self driving truck or, with cameras in the van, a driver with an augmented reality system. The maneuverability is undeniably better than any traditional semi system.
