No sex involved, clearly. But I believe Brandon, in his review,
referred to the indignity a person might go through by selling herself
to supply her man with opium, hence why he referred to it more as sex.
And, arguably, selling one's body for money is a greater
dignity-stripping act than dealing with shady characters…
