While not on this list, Lactokinesis (power over milk and dairy products) was used pretty creatively in an episode of Misfits (a dark but often funny British show about people with superpowers). The lame sounding power was quite effective and lethal, at least on anyone who recently consumed dairy products.

I am quite serious. The reason that the prop looks like a cheap piece of plastic is because the prop is a cheap piece of plastic.

Maybe they figured adding a little diversity would be good, these shows are making their own canon so there is no need to have a slavish devotion to comic book accuracy.

Wait until the Belters organise, then you’ll have a fight on your hands - make no mistake!

Ever heard of the web serial Worm? Involves a lot of creative uses of shitty powers.

When you first see the name, you might think it’s the ability to travel to different universes, like in Sliders. No, this is the ability to slide across surfaces for unusually long distances. This isn’t a power. If it can be achieved with socks and a slightly slick surface, it’s not a power.

Huh. Who knew everyone in my office has a superpower?

SWEET CHRISTMAS!

Oh yeah- like this very talented, intelligent, and prominant modern New Yorker finding the Ancient One is in itself cause for an alert.

“Maybe. Who am I to judge?”

I have a personal theory that the weird black straps/chevrons are tied into the web shooters, like a built-in harness, so he’s not attached solely at the wrists when he fires a webline.

Oh gods I hope they don’t go ridiculous drama backstory route for Jughead’s love of burgers.

Indeed, the perception of the heroes’ invulnerability lends credence to the collateral damage complaint, while emphasizing that there are other ways to hurt them. It’s even the crux of the villain’s monologue.

Hey, I’ve seen people ignore the meta-truth in favor of vastly convoluted reasoning, so I get what you mean.

Yeah, but then they complain that said superhero movies are overly-simplistic popcorn flicks. It’s supremely annoying, especially coming from people who usually complain when some detail from a character’s costume does not match the comics closely enough.

We need to get Jude Law in this universe so we can have 2 Sherlocks and 2 Watsons on screen at the same time.

THANK YOU.

Okay, we get it. Jesus.
