So, apropos of absolutely nothing, my new life goal is to be a location scout.

From what I can tell, until pretty recently, Inhumans in general were always sort of peripheral characters in the larger MCU for some fucking reason (that reason probably being the popularity of X-Men). Of course, now they’re being pushed front and center, so it’s super likely she now will be a major player.

LOL, I should make a point of saying that I fucking love this poster. As a friend pointed out, the background has all of her colors, which I consider a bit of a stroke of genius.

I can get behind that, to an extent. :)

Things can look weird in that kind of light – but yeah, looks to me like this was processed out the wazoo. Because why would it be different to any other modern movie poster. :p

Yeah, okay, all of that absolutely fair enough. Sorry for misunderstanding. My blood’s kind of up already from other dude and the way Kinja threads sometimes throws me off.

The fact that your happy ass is making this about the parties illustrates beautifully how irredeemably fucked up your country is.

Anyone who thinks that any stripe of eugenics is a solution to this particular problem would themselves be in the crosshairs of these initiatives.

Despite your “it’s just a joke,” you explicitly still think this idea is prudent or beneficial. So it really comes across like you are missing the entire point.

You are literally espousing eugenics – i.e., the philosophy that justified the entire activity of the Third Reich.

“Comically/terrifyingly missing the point” is apparently their defining characteristic.

That doesn’t seem like a super-unreasonable assumption to make though, considering #Resist and #TheResistance are both actual anti-Trump ... things. Movements? I’m not sure exactly how to categorize what they are.

Hi, Powerless showrunner. You can get better numbers by not being terrible. Just a tip for ya.

That is a very good point, and thank you for making it. Yeah, that was a very believable evolution for the character, and it occurs to me that maybe the showrunners were experimenting with the different ways that characters even can evolve in a scenario like that.

I mean, clearly this is a “variable mileage” thing, but I have never once purposely watched any person or property’s livestream on Facebook or YouTube. I’m perfectly happy to consume content voraciously – but it has to be on my own time.

I have started listening to this podcast and I am very much enjoying it. Thanks very much for the recommend!

If I recall correctly, the writer following Claremont was either Lobdell or Nicieza, both of whom turned out to be a lot less good when read as an adult. Not Chuck Austin bad, but I’m pretty sure no one is Chuck Austin bad.

I love that this is a real thing that is true.

My dad was around way less than Buffy’s dad for approximately 99% of my childhood.

One of the masterstrokes of “The Body” was the lack of background music or sound effects through most of the episode. It was remarkably unsettling, and so perfectly conveyed the “world holding its breath” feeling that immediately follows a tragic event.
