LOL high five.
LOL high five.
Thanks for the tips! I've noted those titles down and next time I'm shopping for a book, I'll pick one of them up.
I'm kind of tempted to nominate myself because hubris, but my stuff is nothing like PKD. XP
Oh yeah, I liked that story in the Masked anthology. I'm going to have to check out those other titles you list.
Yeah, Planetary would be perfect for a TV series, though. And the characters having superpowers sets it apart from all the shows that could seem similar (i.e., X-Files or even Supernatural).
And here I thought her best characteristic was that she's unbelievably beautiful. Shows how off my priorities are. #snark
Well, thank you. Knowing I'm not alone in this, I feel a little better about it now.

Maybe, yes. Also there are just certain writing styles that turn me off. Whereas Peter F. Hamilton, I can read forever. So maybe that's the thing here, style? Enh.
Do you not realize that what 12356789 said entirely invalidated your original post?
I feel bad for not being able to read some of these books. I tried to read Stross, who seems is widely beloved, but it (Singularity Sky) couldn't hold my interest. I'm reading Brin's "Existence" right now and it's barely holding me. Don't get me started on China Mieville.

There's actually a movie that these pictures are screen grabs from. It's even trippier when you see it in actual motion.
I less-than-three Rashida Jones. So, thanks for that.
It's not Eliza Dushku, either. ;)
Azita Ghanizada was always sexy to me, so...
I agree with "the bottom line" entirely and completely.
Kon-Elle is adorable! And the TARDIS dress girls rock my socks.
Now that (about Maltese Falcon) is something I did not know. Thanks for that interesting fact!
