I'm okay with Bond movies in general, but I really quite like the new Bond movies. I know there's a lot of shitting on QoS but the way I interpreted what they were doing, it made a lot of sense for the character(s) as a logical progression after Casino Royale. Actually, now I kind of want to watch them both again so I

@Benjamin Andrew Moore: Well, that's the first thing that came to mind. But as I lived through the 90s, I know bright colors were fashionable during that time because I was there. You can see the progression as the mood of the country changed.

@eregyrn: "Seized upon" — yeah. It's an odd thing I've noticed that all the gay men I know really love their symbolism. I don't know if it actually has anything to do with their being gay — it may have as much to do with their being pot smokers, except I know straight pot smokers who could care less about that stuff.

"remain skeptical until we hear more"

@SupaChupacabra: Oh yeah. I guess I misread your comment. Sorry — coffee hasn't really taken effect yet.

I love Hathaway, but I just can't picture her in this sort of movie. Knightley has beautiful eyes and face but needs to eat a fucking sandwich. Biel has the acting and action chops, I can see her pulling off a character like Talia.

@SupaChupacabra: I disagree that Snyder should be in the same class as those guys. Those guys make terrible movies. Snyder's movies may not be great, but they're not terrible.

That poster looks awesome! Because there's nothing but cute girls kicking ass!

@eregyrn: Wow, that long ago?! Holy shit.

@Cyrulean: Yes, and I know! I always feel like such a glutton when I eat there. I only go half as often as I do because the girls like the place (no messing, they fucking love it). But I usually end up ordering off the appetizers section.

@Tatterfoal: You're partly right. I'm thinking late '80s - early '90s, which is when these magazines were produced (1989-1994, if memory serves).

@phoghat: No, never even heard of it. Which is odd because I thought I was pretty in the loop on certain authors' books, him included.

@ProudGeek: Yeah that is a good strategy but fast food doesn't (in my experience) hold up well after cooling. And fast food is the biggest offender.

Ah, the 90s. It was a simpler, somewhat goofier time. People wore primary colors and funky patterns in real life — comics had to do drastic things to compete.

@SirLordCoake: I could be wrong, but I think that drawing was done well before the rainbow was adopted as the LGBT symbol.

@crosis101: No it ain't. If you look closely you can see a caption on the upper right. It's Bullseye.

@phoghat: Points for alliteration, but I think I'll plead the fifth on that. Not because I'm doing anything illegal, mind. Simply because nothing ever goes away on the Internet, and if I admit to my hedonistic, bacchanalial lifestyle, it'll come back to haunt me someday when I've got something to lose.

@enalzi: *spit take* BAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

@HalOfBorg: LMFAO @ "pineapple blind".

I think the food would have to be processed beyond recognition for this to work, at least on the relatively short term, until people got used to the idea. And I'm not entirely sure that would be an improvement.
