I don't know this for a fact but I'm willing to bet that Vince meddles a lot more in the Raw booking than the Smackdown booking since Raw is the "A" show and he feels he knows whats best for it. Which gives the SD team the freedom to actually book things coherently and ironically make it a better show.

I think Vince has always felt that Raw is the only show that matters, which means he personally focuses on it, which means he personally meddles in the writing, which ironically makes the show suck compared to Smackdown.

Between these lines and Foley saying he doesn't understand why Roman gets booed, this week's Raw was just packed with lines illustrating Raw creative's ignorance of how to properly book a show.

Dana vs Charlotte is the feud they are setting up. Bayley and Sasha are just being used as props in service of it.

The triple threat was only booked as a way to advance the storyline falling-out between Charlotte and Dana Brooke. That's why they did that backstage promo where Mick misunderstood Dana's contender match idea and Charlotte blamed her for it. It's part of this ongoing "Dana keeps accidentally screwing Charlotte over"

Seriously. Jericho and Kevin Owens have (so far) been the only people on the roster that Raw has not managed to ruin with terrible booking and writing. And that's in large part because the two of them are so naturally good at ad-libbing promos that it's basically impossible to make them un-entertaining.

"You can't boo Reigns because he's a face and he's super tall and swole and that's what people like so you have to like him."

It was the WWE equivalent of "there are no tanks in Iraq"

HE'S BEEN PUMPING HIS 24-FOOT PYTHONS AT MUSCLE BEACH IN VENICE, FLORIDA IN FRONT OF OF 600,000 SCREAMING GAWKERMANIACS, BROTHER!!!!

Roman was slowly starting to get over with the crowd because he was finally out of the main event scene and feuding for the US belt against Rusev. So of course Vince takes this as a sign that he should put Roman back in the main event scene.

When Roman was in the US title feud with Rusev, he actually started to get over with the crowd a little bit. So of course Vince had to immediately throw him back into the main title feud.

Foley's cruiserweight promo was so condescending I kept waiting for him to put on an nWo shirt and utter the phrase "flippy shit".

Seriously. We're supposed to believe that over the course of three weeks, this MARRIED COUPLE who are both senior company executives (both in kayfabe and IRL) have not had a single conversation about why HHH did what he did? Raw's writing is so fucking terrible right now it's not even funny. Not a goddamn thing makes

I just assume SD pay per views will be good at this point despite the cards appearing weak because of the thin roster. The booking is just that damn good and everyone on the roster is stepping up and giving it their all.

Vince probably seriously thinks Roman Reigns' doing a Superman Punch is a more impressive athletic feat than TJ Perkins hitting a 540 corkscrew springboard tornado DDT.

Seriously, that promo was so condescending it sounded like something from late 90s WCW. They might as well have brought Hogan out to say "Aww, look at the cute little cruiserweights. They're gonna do some flippy shit while you go to the bathroom and then we're gonna get back to the real wrestlers."

"Please for the love of god trade me to Smackdown." - Cesaro

I actually feel sorry for Bayley and Charlotte being on Raw. Like everything else, the SD women's division is being booked so much better.

"beta male"

It's pretty much impossible for AJ to have a bad match with anyone. The guy is just that damn good. I'm pumped they gave him the belt. I like Ambrose but his title reign has been dull as dishwater.
