That doesn’t really effect Microsofts argument. MS isn’t arguing against a purchase Sony making an acquisition will be disastrous to them for one thing. And 2 neither they nor Sony have tried to make a game like COD. They’ve made a few FPS’s but Halo and Killzone are very different styles to COD.

It doesn’t say they aren’t. MS’s ability to do it has no real effect on the argument. Sony is arguing that COD is unique and another 1st party controlling it would be exceedingly harmful to them. MS is saying you could easily make a competitor to it.

Halo was hardly COD. It predated most of the things you would expect in COD, and set the standard for FPS console games experience (things like how the controller works and such were more or less set after it came out).

Eh, not really. Here we are comparing a relatively generic but extremely popular FPS. And a company that already has the means and talent to build an FPS. If MS were to take Call of Duty off of PS, it would likely have an advantage in regards to being on Playstation.
