OH DON’T DO THAT! That’s like the worst thing you could possibly do. These things are like terminators.

I wouldn’t say ‘new’ mechanics, but definitely new ways in which they are used. Story is where these games are though. Much like Souls, they give just enough to piece most things together and leave enough to one's imagination to fill in blanks creatively; and that's where it shines.

That Foxy in the closet is one of the most horrifying things I’ve ever seen. If I saw anything even remotely close to it anywhere in my house: I’d piss myself on the spot!

Huh.
My first thought was “Oh great, now I have to look at this all the damn time online”.

That’s because it's the way in which they were styled. It's not the rendering, it's the design.

I can tell you exactly why it feels more realistic: it’s because they made everything feel like plastic, like it’s all toys and can all be played with. It's not that it’s rendered ‘realistically’, it’s that it’s styled to appear as playthings.

Well now don't I look retroactively stupid.

I know this is a little late, but I was going over my old discussions and found this conversation.
I laughed a lot about it...

Consider my pants ruined.

That’s what I mean: a new style where it doesn’t lose it’s ‘face’, but takes some aspects from the elements and grows them together.

I think so too, I look at it like this is an opportunity to move away from the more neon highlight style and bring it something that is so much richer in detail. It doesn’t have to lose it’s cartoony-ness, but to take away the ‘glow’ and replace it with a more mystical fragrant design; it not only makes it feels fresh

That’s some indepth thinking there! Seeing stuff like this gives so much potential to the series.

My hope is that they come around to something like this in the future. It doesn't need to be gritty or dark, but detailed and given a depth that's more than cartoony; that's what I want to see.

You know what?

I don’t mind that kind of realism at all.

I imagine those people live in rather cold climates.

Not gonna lie: the floppy genitals don’t bother me as much as the hairy ass crack...

YOU'D BE SCREWED!

The only thing I've taken away from this is that there is someone out there that believes C4 can be disarmed by twisting a screwdriver in it. AND THAT'S SCARY.

That's the sexy hunchback I've ever seen!

I found Ollie the Magic Bum from THPS in my game.

It’s not so bad working with a mouse and keyboard over traditional media like pencil and ink, but I do miss it a lot.
My only real problem now is I work with a multitude of suites and the hotkeys and interfaces are just slightly different and quirky. ZBrush being the biggest one to have to get reacquainted with after a

Yeah it’s probably dynamesh. I work with animating these kinds of models and I can’t tell you how many times somebody gave me a Zbrush file expecting to just open it up in Maya with everything perfectly intact.

“What do you mean I need to save it as another format? Can’t you just do that?”

“I could. But that was your job
