It's not cheap animation, it's adding more frames of moment into the gesturing so that it's smoother and appears less choppy.

Wow, I'm really glad I saw this. The model animation is really stiff, but the composition shots and flow are very well done. I like to see this with more frames of animation for movement so it smooths out.
