It wasn’t rumor, both Haas and Grosjean said they wanted him in the stock car for a race. The only races he could have done were at the Glen and Sonoma. Grosjean said he would prefer Sonoma (which has already happened) to Watkins Glen even though it would have fit into the F1 schedule better.
