The early Renaults like the 1900 model you show used a thermosiphonic cooling system; there’s no water pump. Instead, the temperature difference between the hot water in the block and the cold water in the exposed radiator creates enough circulation by convection to transfer the heat.

I could see GM doing this, pulling a Ford GT, even though we’ve all suspected a mid-engine Cadillac has been in the works along with the Vette.

I took 15 minutes and did a quick sketch of what this vehicle might look like. Maybe if I get some extra time I’ll repost a better one. I took styling cues from the Escala
