I do wish the colors had been stronger for The Oath, but Marcos Martin did a great job on that book. It's one thing to say the work isn't to one's taste, but when someone says art like this is "a joke" I'm pretty suspicious of their viewpoint.

A number of Peeter's comics have been translated recently. Sandcastle and Pachyderme are both incredible. Sandcastle is a devastating science-fiction tinged meditation on the life cycle, and Pachyderme is a surreal dream narrative about a woman coming to terms with her past. Both are highly recommended!

Agreed, I understand why people would skip this given Ennis' track record for the last few years. Parlov seems to elevate Ennis' work consistently, though.
