@Zom-B: I was referring to those who first "crack" a system open, before piracy is even possible. The people who first discover the opening exploit to a system, in other words. It takes so much time, energy, and potentially money to find an opening in these that to want to do so just to pirate is completely illogical

@sonicblastoise: It was just a metaphor, it doesn't have to be. I was just saying it could be. The saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" doesn't say that only good intentions make it up, and of course evil would partially as well. As such, it also makes sense in the opposite way. I could picture

@Zom-B: My logic in the "Piracy is not the hackers' main goal" argument has been stated multiple times. If exploits to open a console up to hack are in a game, a hacker won't know unless they bought said game. In the end, they would need to buy many more games than they would end up pirating in the first place.

@atrimus: No, all your points are valid. The PS3 being hacked really has no use for you, at least at the current state. If you hate piracy, that's a big draw of hacking, but not the only one.

@sweenish: Well, I'm not really into the PS3 homebrew/hacking scene, so I wasn't entirely aware of that. He does sound like a prick, for sure. But if the proverbial road to hell is paved with good intentions, could the road to heaven not be paved with horrible ones?

@Zom-B: I can openly speak for at least pirates, being one myself. I know absolutely NOTHING about how the exploits hackers use work, or how I'm able to boot games I download, or anything about the innards of my Wii, DSi, or PSP (all consoles I have hacked for both homebrew and piracy alike). And I can say with much

*sigh* What I don't get is, why so much hate for this guy?

@jayntampa: If you know anything about emulators, apparently this demo card that came out at some point's been dumped to the net. That's a totally legal thing to "pirate," since it's not for sale.

What, no mention of DebuPlus?

@Kermi: Yeah, Team Plasma are a very ambiguous group, morally. Without delving into any further spoilers than say the first 20 minutes, the first time you meet Team Plasma they're all gathered and preaching how evil Pokemon trainers are for forcing them to battle and that they should all free their Pokemon. They then

@Kermi: And that problem you have, is exactly brought to the forefront in Black and White.

@GamingTheory: Sad thing is, despite the double entendre... that's totally true. It really is hard to play the older games again when you're used to the sprites moving constantly as they do in B/W. It adds just a little bit of realism that you don't notice as being so big a deal until it's gone and you're playing

@NekuSakuraba: They are until after you beat the Elite Four.

@Rinaldus: There's an English translation patch out there for the ROM that's pretty well-done. The Pokemon and people's names are still in Japanese (though English lettering), but everything else is in English with the exception of just a few things.

@Elratauru: I'm well aware. Though not ALL the dialogue is translated, and some of the menus and other stuff are just odd too, like Elite Four Giima's name isn't consistent (Gima in dialogue, Giima in battle, and G?ma [with a question mark, yes] in the before-battle animation).

@DominusSapientia: No, but then every Pokemon that ISN'T yours, like trainer Pokemon and wild ones you just don't want and all that stuff, has the names you don't like too. A hack could get rid of it.

@Elratauru: I'm sure when it comes out, there will probably be a ROM hack to make the new ones have their Japanese names.

I was guilty of this just yesterday replaying Sonic Advance, using the character select screen cheat to make Tails follow me...
