I remember randomly watching him play a game for FSU (I think against UCLA, could be wrong). When the Bills took him in the first round a few months later, I was floored.

According to my uncle on Facebook, it means Reid hates the military.

Belichick is 5-2 against Reid.

They were bad last night, for sure. I’m concerned about the pass rush mainly (I was before the game) but I will say that passing judgment on a NE team in September, especially after only one game, is foolish. History says the whole team will probably improve over the season.

I don’t think CK is being blackballed but I do think his protest, which I support, is largely why he isn’t employed. Teams (however misguided) regard him as the dreaded “distraction” which is a problem for a starter yet alone for a backup.

I’m pretty sure a tandem is two players. Back when everyone played a 4-4-2 it was often used to describe the two strikers.

  • This is an explanation the use of “collusion”and its potential impact.

You see multiple three year gaps, I see back-to-back NFL Participant. Some of us can appreciate that level of taking part:

Ol’ Spicey out here playing checkers while you nerds playing chess.

Why are fans never mad at the team for not doing more to re-sign a player? Yet when they miss out on another team’s free agent it seems like they always blame the GM. It’s a weird dichotomy.

Equating pro sports to our “normal” world is hard but it’s akin to me taking less to stay in a certain city I like or with an employer that offers amazing non-cash benefits. People have different priorities and KD’s clearly have staying at GS over contract money so more power to him.

People always mock Prime day but I’ve been able to get something useful at a higher then usual discount every year, just don’t go in expecting OLED tvs at 50% off.

I wrote this on another article but please, if your are having a party and there is a pool nearby, hire a qualified lifeguard. It would cost about 100 bucks but could save someone’s life. “Dry drowning” may be incredibly unlikely but regular drowning can happen to a kid or an adult shockingly easily.

If you’re having a party and have a pool (even if it isn’t a pool party), just hire a lifeguard. Most places have a local pool with lifeguards happy to earn some extra cash and it could save a life without you or your guests having to lift a finger.

We have the same one, and it’s pushed us out of our Kia Forte and into a new Rav4 (my wife didn’t like the Outback). It’s such a pain but how could I sleep at night if my son isn’t in the safest seat?

Oh this is awesome! I have a nine month old and expecting number two in September, so I’ll definitely be interested to crowed source some practical parenting ideas.

This is a really silly article. Argentina will not fail without Messi. He also isn’t definitively the best player to live (although it’s certainly not a stretch to say so). Finally, referees should be respected more in soccer this just shows why it’s a problem.

Racism is wrong, so is saying an entire city is racist because a black player is verbally abused by some turds, so is saying a religion is dangerous because fanatics use it to hurt others. Can we just be grownups and stop making everything so damn absolute?

This is the kind of hot taek we come to Deadspin for.

Honest non-loaded question: when you say they have a liberal slant, what exactly do you mean? I remember they gave Jenner that award but I don’t really notice much else.
