You already in the right track, some mods require to send your ECU or purchase a new one and send it instead, which I prefer. Strut bars, incercoolers, crash bars, filters, turbo piping and more! Set 5k aside and will sure outperform the mini. Here in Dominican Republic the turbo version runs for 39k dollars :/

And if you want to mod your car with less than 4k you can make it go really fast! Go velosterturbo.org and check what's going on over there. I am planning to get the veloster turbo myself and the research tells me is a good bang for the money.

If the Hyundai Veloster manages to generate 201HP from a modest 1.6 GDI Turbo, why ist that from an engine that is 125% bigger this isn't at least 245hp? A friend has a 2008 mini S with some mods and dyno shows 208hp to the wheels.

What will be the differential options? Any fifth wheel pre-fitted in the bed? How low is the torque powerband?
