I want a camera so dumb that it needs me to tell it its ISO, Aperture, exposure time, WB settings, flash on/off and just about everything it needs to breathe.

I tend to disagree. Even with very similar specs, Sense, Touch Wiz, "whatever LG calls it" or stock Android propose different experiences.

While I tend to prefer analog means (Vinyl, tape, pictures, reel 2 reel, film...) I think that digital pictures are easier to maintain.
