Officially, many (all?) 11spd bicycle links are not supposed to be reusable, although I’d hazard a guess than many riders do treat them as such. 10spd and below typically are reusable.

This is good advice which I’m more or less living by as an adult, but I’m not sorry that as a child/teenager I forced myself to read things that weren’t strictly enjoyable, because some of it was an education.

Good article. I’m curious as to when engineers started to think about NVH as a thing to be designed, rather than just a by-product of other design decisions. I guess we’ve long thought that luxury = smooth and quiet, but stuff like engineering the timbre of slamming a door is a whole other level.

Speaking of odd dash design, my E91 has a instant mpg dial gauge with a sweeping needle but lacks any form of temp gauge, because the original buyer didn’t tick that box I guess. Priorities!
