I don’t know if this constitutes misuse, but I carried a road bike on the back of a Honda Beat, with the front wheel in the passenger seat. My uncle lent me the car for three glorious weeks and I used it to drive to a bike race, among other things.

I changed the oil on my E91 for the first time the other day. Everything was going great, the oil was streaming out, and streaming out and... crap, it’s not stopping and my drain pan is basically full crap crap crap *runs into garage, grabs random old tin, holds it under sump, spills oil everywhere anyway*

I heard about the Phaeton thing and actually asked Campagnolo directly about it because I thought it was a cool story. They denied any knowledge of it... (Although they acknowledged that some collaborations would be protected by NDAs, so who knows?)

My E91 didn’t come with a spare (or run-flats), so I bought space saver. Problem is, it doesn’t even have well to store one in under the boot (trunk) floor, so now it’s occupying valuable cargo space in the boot.

More or less. Doesn’t look as good as the concept pics though, especially IRL.

Good piece. My Dad bought a 2nd gen not long after they came out and he’s still driving it. It’s not exciting, but it’s also pretty inoffensive. It may seem slow compared to the large displacement cars Americans are used to, but it’s on par with the small-engined hatchbacks that half of Europe drives.

Ooh, sounds good. God knows how I’ll watch it in the UK (other than the first ep, obvs), but kudos for putting your money where your mouths are.

I think driving in big cities is mostly dumb and pointless and that cities would be much nicer places if you excluded most cars and instead invested in decent public transport and infrastructure that encourages walking and cycling.

I’m not saying I disagree entirely with the spirit of the letter, but ads like this are actually forbidden in the UK and our car commercials suck. Case in point:

Aesthetically, I think the NB is the weakest design. It’s also the worst afflicted by corrosion. The NC got a bit fat, but I think it’s a really well resolved piece of design.

I know Americans believe in changing oil a lot more often than Europeans, but 18k is less than the manufacturer service interval for plenty of new vehicles. Hell, Ford recommends 30k for its latest Transits AFAIK.
