Nah, it’s looks rubbish on narrow streets too. Doesn’t seem to have prevented them from selling loads here in the UK though. I’ve had one as a rental and it was fairly hateful, but not significantly more so than any number of other amorphous CUV blobs.

Meh. It’s not a particularly well resolved design, there’s way too much going on around the C-pillar.

Ok, I should have said “some of the cars”. :-)

Hey now, JLR may be Indian-owned but the cars are made right here in the UK.

Not a troll question, but how is this different to the ‘community’ section on CarThrottle? Conceptually it seems very similar...

Came here for this, not disappointed. (Annoyed you beat me to it though.)

This seems like a worthwhile hill on which to die.

The irony is that including her name adds absolutely nothing to the story. It disappoints me that Jalopnik is joining in the lynch mob.

I actually feel sorry for this girl. She’s an idiot, but the abuse and ridicule to which she’s being subjected now must be fairly horrible. Even major news outlets are rubbing their hands in glee because of the “topless” angle.

Can someone please ‘shop the front end from a W124 onto this badboy? You know, for science.

Good stuff! Re high mileage 996s, have y’all seen this?:

I <3 articles like this. Good work.

I like that Jalopnik stopped scoring reviews. I write reviews for a living (not of cars... yet), and scoring consistently and fairly is a PITA because you’re dealing with ever-shifting goalposts.

Deserves more stars.

I enjoyed this, and I suspect I would feel similarly about such a car. It’s a truly magnificent machine, but the stress of ownership seems too great for anyone but the uber-rich who can afford not to care too much.

Good work Mr Tracy. I always enjoy reading about your wrenching adventures.

I’m thinking small electric city car.
