Seconded! That clam-shell provides soooooo much room for access to anything in the engine bay. I remember doing my first valve job while sitting on the front driver’s side tire . Very comfy. Plus parts and knowledgeable people to lean on for advice are both fairly easy to get.
True, which is why 2015-2018 cars should be the sweet-spot for older folks. Many cars of this era hadn’t yet gone full touch screen, but still have all the safety features listed here.
