I suspect it would be dependent on what level of insurance you carry. If only liability, then as long as the 2nd car isn’t “statistically more dangerous” than the first, it shouldn’t add a significant amount. In fact, if you carry rental reimbursement, you could drop that and potentially save money by adding a 2nd

Well, it is stock to have an engine cover there, but I don’t think this one is OEM. A quick google image search seems to indicate that these engine covers are commonly replaced and that there doesn’t appear to be anyone selling OEM-like replacements, hence the cludgy quality.

Your response was far more civil than mine would have been!

Maybe after his R8 adventure in the Canary Islands he’ll get the need for speed that only a wide-body Yugo will satisfy.

Here is a link to 45 of them. Note that I did not say CTS-V.

Note that I said “CTS” not “CTS-V.” There is a significant difference. I would hardly call a base CTS, coupe or otherwise, a track star.

If you really want a Caddy coupe, pony up a few extra bucks and get a CTS coupe that drives the proper wheels. The V6 has a few more HP than the Northstar V8, albeit a few less ft-lbs. But the more modern 6-spd trans will more than make up for the loss of 20 ft-lbs. And a CTS will drive circles around a ten year older

Let’s count the reasons why this is a bad take:

944's aren’t much better. I know from experience.

While the association with someone who would actually do that to a car is bad enough, you also have to add the fact that slamming the car results in no suspension travel. So your spine is going to feel every pebble in the road, potholes will break your neck and and a speed bump may high-center the car.

Elizabeth, you are in the central Texas region, right? If so, this is offered at The Driveway Austin:

Well the auction has 5 days to go, maybe Lawer_Applegate is clairvoyant?

Do we consider the original Mad Max to be a car movie?

Considering the cast spends about 90% of their screen time in their respective cars, I’d say it is a car movie.

Between the Avanti and the Citreon DS Decapotable, Gattaca was my first thought.

Meh, I like my girl rock a little more southern fried. Plus they didn’t mention a Moto Guzzi once, not once!

How about the forgotten V8, Infiniti M56? A 420 HP 5.6L V8 and plenty of Japanese luxury. This one is at Carvana in San Antonio for $10 shy of $22,000.

Then gold diggers are the least of your worries.

No plates are shown. In fact, I don’t even see a front plate holder, and Texas is a mandatory front plate state. My guess is that it was driven up from Mexico with the original Mexican plates and just never registered here. I frequently see vehicles with Mexican plates in Austin. I’m sure it isn’t uncommon in DFW
