Wow identity management. What like the incredibly useful and promising Identity addon mozilla developed for Firefox 3.5 and then let languish(!) Much like they did with Ubiquity, the other really cool app that also felt like a glimpse of the near future of web browsing rather than just being an incremental upgrade.

In the UK at least, the difference in price is also influenced by VAT which is zero-rated for physical books but payable on their ebook cousins.

@Tim Gee: True except that the license fee is only compulsory for watching live tv. That goes for online or broadcast. Watching catch-up tv online doesn't require a license, neither does owning a tv and hooking it up to other entertainment devices (dvd, console etc.) or to your computer. @lvlln: Depends which variant of English you're using: e.g., in the UK your 'correct' version is frowned upon by most style guides.

As the screen shot shows, method 1 above does not send an sms to the email address but an mms, which can be substantially more expensive depending on your phone plan.

Wierd, because the only thing I ever found that difficult to uninstall off Windows was McAfee. It was in the Win98 days but still ...

The adverts do get pretty annoying (I think you have to be on a UK IP to get them), being quite repetitive. And if you turn the volume down past a certain point or mute either the program or the system the ad will pause, so there's no way of avoiding it.

Google Page Creator has been closed for new sign-ups since September last year in favour of Google Sites; the link for it above gets redirected to a generic Google Apps collaboration sign up page (scroll down for info on Sites).

Hmm I'm a bit late to this party...but anyway...up until the gNotebook service is actually removed, firefox compatibility can be got around using the bookmarklet. Throw in bookmark keywords and foxmarks syncing and you've got a decent solution (I've been using this for a while and actually prefer it to the Notebook
