It was the tires. They ran a “SUV” spec tire that was basically a glorified passenger car tire for ride comfort. It worked OK on the short trucks but the extra weight of the EXT, SUB and Yukon XL made them squirmy and ponderous. A set of actual LT spec tires changed the demeanor of the truck entirely.
