I recently took a shot at this game since it was on Gamepass for the PC. Wow. Can’t believe it took me this long to see what all the fuss was about. I tried other open world simulation games like The Forest and nothing really made me want to continue. This, however, makes me want to constantly forage, kill things, eat

Reading all of the hate online about this episode really makes me cringe. I thought it was the best one of the series so far, and I’m a 49-year-old white married cis male that thinks the relationship between Bill and Frank over this “long long time” absolutely brought the story even further. The performances were

Finishing up this game now, and I can’t agree with you more. I never think Jesse is this gorgeous, Croft-ian raider of astral plane offices but she’s a 10 compared to Croft when it comes to her style and overall badass-ery in every aspect of the game. My favorite part -- SPOILER ALERT!! - is her “That was awesome”

Horizon is simply awesome. Worth it to me. God of War as well. I too try and finish one before starting another, but I do this by genre of game. I’m usually playing an RPG, a shooter, and an action RPG all at the same time, moving on to the next after finishing that one. Disco Elysium is next! Grim Dawn is my action

DoS2 is, for me, a much better experience than DoS1. I finished DoS1 but don’t remember much of it. DoS2 is the best role-playing experience I’ve had since Baldur’s Gate and not sure it can be topped. Endless variety in how you dispatch foes, and the way you can “break” the rules is a superior touch on a remarkable

John Delaney was born in Wood-Ridge, NJ? That’s my hometown. It’s a tiny little town in Bergen County, and I honestly have no recollection of hearing anything about him coming from there. Anyway, carry on.

Really? This guy spills his heart out and this is your comment? Grow up.

Never understood the devotion to “The Witness.” I’m all for puzzle games and such, but it was quite boring and I never really felt any sense of achievement or wonder moving onto the next puzzle. To each his/her own, I guess. And Red Dead 2 was good but didn’t live up to its predecessor in my eyes. A slog throughout.

Still chugging along with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The map is overwhelming but I’m working my way through it. I don’t find myself on my ship too much, which is kind of bumming me out since I want my weapon/armor upgrades all the time and I realized I was equipping the legendary set stuff but not getting the bonuses

I am right with you on this. I tried the first one like five or six times, rerolled my character a bunch, and still came away with that “meh” feeling. The story was convoluted, didn’t grab me, and the different lore presented a challenge in actual caring about what’s going on. Then, add the real-time combat and I was

I loved this game. Everything about it. I thought the rebooted Tomb Raiders were awesome but Horizon Zero Dawn is just slick with story and combat. I didn’t even go to the photo mode. Not once. Everyone seems to love the photo mode. I don’t get the appeal. You post pictures of Aloy with the beasts on social media?

I am a Beefeater Martini guy, straight up, olives, very cold, and very very very VERY dry. You can whisper “vermouth” in the shaker for all I care. I was happy to see Beefeater get the props here. Kudos to you for similar tastes. I can’t stand when people tell me they love martinis and then they order a Cosmopolitan

Now playing

My frat buddy Dan does them very well. Here is his latest.
