Batman was only ever light hearted and cheesey in the Shumacher films or the 60s tv series. People forget that 95% of Batman content (comics/animated) has always been serious and realistic-ish.

I really don't know what you are driving at with the "how many people left for real" breakdown but here is what I see.

I know they can make money, but they just announced they lost 400K subscribers. As the article points out 25% drop in subs. That is extremely significant in a phase that should be *growth* phase for this young MMO.

Generally speaking, yes the Nolan batman movies are good films. However there are some big issues with them as well.
