The first powered flight occurred in 1903 and it took 11 years for the first commercial passenger flight to happen. That passenger flight in all it’s glory is that they could fly a single person 20 miles, twice a day. It cost the equivalent of $150 one way. It’s not until 30 years later in the 1930's that commercial

The thing with this “VR is just a fad! It was around in the 90s, and it failed then, so it’ll fail now too! argument, is it asserts the reason it didn’t succeed in the 90s is because VR as a concept is unworkable. As opposed to the real reason: bulky, heavy, low refresh CRTs, laggy tracking and 2D sprite-based

It makes absolutely no sense.  I mean, Population One is run by a rag tag fleet of people and is far better than Horizons.  What it comes down to is that somehow social media companies think they have some magic sauce, when really the only magic sauce ever was ‘oh, nice to catch up with you’ and ‘haha cute cat’.

I don’t really know what they want to do with their VR metaverse, but I think you’d get a lot more traction just taking Final Fantasy 14, and turning it into an MMO chatroom (which I’m sure someone will point out it already is :P ). I don’t want to look like a shitty Mii or Xbox avatar. Let me attend meetings as a

I have never seen anything like episode three of the Last of Us anywhere else on TV. They way it fit in with the arc of the story was masterful. The transition from 2023 to 2003 with the baby’s clothing. How it come full circle. How it built the world in a convincing and meaningful way.

Fingers crossed this gets released

The episode was fantastic as a stand-alone... but it’s next level because of the way it so explicitly ties in with the central themes of the story.

I predict Nick Offerman will win an Emmy for that role.

If you’re only interested in plot, just give up now. It’s a road trip and a character piece... everything is gonna be “side mission” until the finale.

Do what you can for those that are made of flesh and not stone for they will never listen. Call the shit out and explain it to the next generation before they get indoctrinated. Otherwise laugh or scream.

I live in a conservative area. As much as I would love to get everyone to see the errors of their way I know that doesn’t match reality. The fact is that most of these people have chosen their hill and they won't change until they exit stage right. There is no point trying to convince people who are already too deep

It is very refreshing to see a “zombie” show delve into the emotional needs of survivors and not just hit the audience with jump scares.

At the end of the year when we’re all talking about best-of lists, this will be the episode everyone mentions. Fantastic.

Boyfriend and I LOVED the episode. We laughed, we cried. While there are parts from the Bill storyline in the game I wish we could see (pushing the truck, Bill and Ellie’s banter), I very much enjoyed hte backstory of Bill and Frank.

I cannot wait for the angry conservatives losing their minds that the show runners are making TLoU WOKE. Can’t wait till they finally play the DLC for a 10 year old game!

I never expected that one of the most touching and heartfelt love stories in recent TV would be from a series based on a 10 year old video game. This episode was amazing. We finally get a “zombie” show where someone is very well prepared. We see that surviving is not enough - finding meaning in your life is just as

Argh, remembered too late to edit Bella’s pronouns.

While a very small moment, Ellie knocking the hands off the clock made me laugh and continue to appreciate how well Bella Ramsey sells ‘sarcastic and genuine kid’ which is a really tough needle to thread. It would be very easy to make those two sides of Ellie feel like they did not mesh or were forced but she’s

We realize it’s only January, but if 2023 gives us a better episode of television than episode three of The Last of Us, we’ll be very lucky.

It’s a very interesting adaptational change. Bill in the game is a cautionary tale - someone who has thoroughly alienated anyone close to him, who is drowning in paranoia, and who is eventually going to die alone because he’ll get old, or forget something, and all his preparations will be for naught.
