I think Molly Kearney is great in the right sketch, but so far, they’ve mostly put her in sketches where her shtick is to say weird things in a gravelly voice (see: Terry Bradshaw and the Miss Universe sketch as prime examples), much like how Mikey Day really only appears in a skit to provide exposition, it feels like.

Almost definitely would have been a copyright issue. We’ve seen that happen in the past where a queen is clearly playing a well-known character (e.g. Sheneneh or Blanche), but RuPaul and the name placard only reference the actor (e.g. Martin Lawrence and Rue McClanahan, respectively)

The frustrating thing to me at least is that the story was actually decent, and it was a solid introduction to Kamala Khan (prior to the MCU show). I enjoyed the 20 or so hours I put into the story and gameplay, in spite of the repetitive nature of the villains. It was just the endless, dull grinding and monetization

You know, it feels like there’s been a trend in recent years where - in hindsight - comments like this were seen as “projection” in anticipation of negative reporting that was incoming.

I wish I could give you all the stars, but one will have to suffice.

Man, Zaslav is just really trying to get me to unsubscribe from HBOMax and never look back. So many shows cut short, too many movies canceled, and so many classics removed because.... reasons.

Well, that’s horribly disappointing. I was hoping that - with as much fun as I had with Interview With The Vampire - that this would also have the same sense of flair and revitalization of Rice’s original novels. I may check out the first few episodes since I’ve already paid for the month of AMC+, but I won’t be

And it’s the “Rowling simply just gets a cut...one way or the other” that encapsulates why I’m not comfortable purchasing or playing this game.

Now playing

I’d give an honorable mention to the Insomniac game Marvel’s Spider-Man. I played the game shortly after his death, and this sweet, touching scene hit me like a gut punch.

I can very much appreciate this mentality. For what it’s worth, I spent about 60 hours playing Elden Ring. It was the first Soulsborne game I’ve really put any effort into (the only other one I tried was Bloodborne a few years ago, but I bounced off of it within 2-3 hours). But I reached a point in the game where I

I enjoyed what I played of Hyperscape; what I didn’t enjoy was the wait time to get into a match. That’s one of the bigger reasons why I bounced off the game relatively quickly.

Not just you. I’m watching it this morning, and the vibe is way off on Weekend Update. Jost looks downright ticked off about something at the top of the skit. Che’s energy is off, too.

Welp, clearly no one should ever look to me for great insight on where White Lotus plots will go! ;)

I can’t help but think that it’s going to end up being like last season, where - for lack of a better descriptor - it’s “the poors” who are really in mortal danger. Last season, it was Armond who paid the ultimate price, but the other non-affluent characters were consistently left a little worse off than before the

It’s a pipe dream this late in the game, I know, but I keep hoping that Tears of The Kingdom will be announced as a launch title for a more powerful Switch.

I half expected, at the end when they’re are talking about the suit, that Shuri was about to tell Riri that her suit needed an AI system like the one Shuri utilized throughout the film to help manage the suit’s capabilities... but that it couldn’t be the same AI, because Wakandan secrets or some such narrative handwavi

I was completely unfamiliar with the AMC commercial before the show, so not gonna lie, I was trying to figure out why Chloe Fineman was doing an impersonation of Anna Delvey (or at least Julia Garner’s portrayal of Delvey).

Yeah, I’ve operated under the assumption that when it happens, that Elijah will just develop powers because of Isiah’s blood.

Funny thing for me is that, up to a few weeks ago, it was one of the streaming services I used the most. Now I’m wondering if I’ll bother resubscribing the next time it comes up for renewal (I’m on an annual plan). It feels like anything good that’s left is just going to get hacked into bits and leave nothing but HGTV

This sounds really interesting. I haven’t had a good narrative game to try out in a while, so I may check this out.
