Arrow was bad in a way that was likeable. Like… Stephen Amell is not much of an actor, but watching him try is fun. In AoS the acting is barely mediocre but the characters are not very likeable. The two british science brats (forget their names) are insufferable.

I stopped watching AoS after 3 painful episodes. I can't bring myself to go back to it. Arrow is in some ways a much sloppier show. But it has heart and it doesn't make me wince once every 3 minutes (more like once every 15 minutes).

It's Jared though. His passiveness is a well-established character trait.

Socially maladroit but also a ruthless businessman.

What I love about this show are all the references to real Silicon Valley people.

There was a similar scene of a bland Satanist church in Metalocalypse.
