@Mike Funk: I personally prefer the ability to have a Twitter app running w/o needing my browser open, and yet be able to receive update notifications via Growl. Web apps tend to update infrequently, are unable to notify you in a special way (if desired) for @replies or direct messages, and can be pretty buggy…
