He means the substance of the rant, not the underlying news.

As a journalist, do you have any proof that these claims are false?

Nobody needs a six-figure car that runs 9s.

Maybe that was the most lackluster cobbled-together unveil packed with outright lies I’ve ever seen and I don’t feel like dealing with Elon’s bullshit anymore.”

Why do you write articles about performance cars?

You have exclusive reporting that the Tesla presentation was ‘outright lies’!?  WOW! That’d be big news! Do tell!

With numbers like that, I might be inclined to have a healthy dose of skepticism about this whole thing, except you link the Lucid Air article right in the middle of this one.

Lol. They literally linked the Lucid 9 second quarter-mile article in this one and the tone could not be any more night and day. I’m sorry but this is a bit much. Jalopnik is thrilled about performance until it isn’t? Until Tesla does it? I’m not trying to be an Elon apologist but... damn.

It’s absurd that anyone with $150,000 can just place an order for this level of rolling vehicular manslaughter from the factory. If you want to run faster than 12s, you should have to build it yourself.”

Do you also want me to get off your lawn?

Probably the most honest take.

Better question:  What is the ratio of announced things to those that have actually made it to production?

Model 3 came out on time but ramped up slower than expected. Model Y released ahead of schedule, so was the Shanghai factory. Elon Time is real, but aside from the autonomy stuff they’re improving on average compared to what it used to be.

Well, legacy automakers (and their advocates) have been promising the “Tesla Killers” are just around the corner for the past several years and it’s all mostly vaporware or costs substantially more.

I don’t have a problem with the existence of dealerships. What I have a problem with is the prohibition on direct sales. If the dealership offers a better experience than the manufacturer, then people will continue to shop there. Having both direct and third party sellers is hardly unusual. I can buy a new iphone from

I think the core issue is that dealers add cost to a vehicle for their part of the existing process.  Consumers could get a lower price by buying direct from the mfg.  Change my mind.

Dealers have earned every last bit of hate fair and square

At times like this, all I can remember is when the cunts at Epic stole other peoples’ popular dances and used them in their game without compensating or even asking permission of the original creators. I even saw one of those dances used in a web ad for Fortnight only days ago.

Epic wants to utilize its own competing services, for its own apps and for others.”

Welcome to America.

Comparison cheapens the worth of everyone involved, particularly you and me.
