It was $2.59 last week at Costco, and I took the opportunity to top off the tank with 2 gallons.

Yeah I think at this point we can stop predicting Tesla’s demise. So many car enthusiasts (and myself a little bit) wanted to see them fail but it’s clear they know what they’re doing now and making products a lot of people love.
What are you talking about, there's going to be a Tesla-killer any day now. Any day, just you wait!/s
I sure hope this pandemic pushes dealers to ditch their sales model. Having a customer go to the dealership before they talk numbers just doesn’t work.
This. I anecdotally heard from a friend in the auto biz that the average MSRP of vehicles hasn’t actually changed that much in the past 10 years, inflation-adjusted. What has changed, though, is the ATP (Average Transaction Price). People love keeping up with, and being, the Joneses.
I am SO SICK of hearing people whine about Cash for Clunkers! NOBODY in the market for a new car today is going to want a rusted-out 1994 Astro van that was one major repair from the junkyard anyway 11 years ago.
Eh, while what you say is true about earnings vs. car prices, it’s also that there are lower-priced new cars that would probably not require a long ass loan to ‘afford’, but many (most?) people think they deserve something better, even if it’s out of their price range. For years I’ve called it the Kardashian Effect. …
One of the reasons i got a Ridgeline is because Honda tested the bulkhead to keep 1100lbs cargo from intruding into the cabin in a crash. I don't think any other pickup manufacturer tests that (and probably for good reason on their part).
I am not super convinced a pickup would be much better in this accident.
The bed might stop the first two layers of bricks but the upper layers are still joining the driver in the front.
sounds like you don’t know wtf you’re talking about. So please.... keep going! I’m hanging on every word.
You could have started your post with “A former governor”, or even called him by name. You use of the phrase “the leftist governor” - as if making short-sighted decisions while trying to balance a budget during an economic downturn is exclusively a “leftist” exercise - is a dog whistle. There is zero chance you chose…
The use of “leftist” as a derogative term is the tell.
And watches FOX. Or listens to Limbaugh. Or Hannity. Or any number of right wing nutters. Your constant use of the term “leftist” is your tell.
New York runs this country, not DC or the Red States. Without NY and California the US is no greater than Ecuador farm country. NY CA & NJ foot the bill for all federal programs and pay for the Red State slackers. Not to mention all corporate America reports to Wall Street, not President Orange or the Red States.
Found the guy who watches FOX...
Interestingly, CA’s curve is considerably flatter than every other state. So our leftist governor may just have gotten this right.
I do my own work and I get parts at 10% above cost from a major parts distributor because of long previous ties to a major redistributor who shall go unmentioned.
We didn’t pass on a single rebate and received about $10k in total. We even received an additional family and distributor discount from Ford due to my employer.
That’s not true in this case. It was a new F150 and it included all of the discounts offered by ford. In addition, it was the cheapest available truck with the options that we wanted within the southeast. The financing was offered specifically by Ford as an ongoing promotion that did not exclude us from other options.
0% for 6 years for us. I would have been crazy NOT to take it. If anybody wants to loan me that much money with no interest for 72 months then I’ll be 100% all over that 😀
