I’ve got nothing but love for Maxine but today my thoughts have been filled with Elijah Cummings. That man spent the last three years of his life in pain and fighting for our democracy. His last official act on this earth was to sign subpoenas meant to defend and protect the children at the border. He was the very

In the beginning, when Nadler was speaking, Auntie M was smiling at something and I was thinking “Oh no. Put it on the inside.” She shut it down with the dignity of a Sunday morning service. Bam!

nancy pelosi? “leadership?”

you are fucking high.

My guess at plot is that the evil genius guy is doing something where he gives people what they most desire (Chris Pine, Kristin Wiig becomes “cool”) but somehow that enables him to manipulate them or harness some kind of power. So I’m guessing she might lose him again when she defeats the bad guy.  Also maybe he just

It's a throwback to the old tv show though, where they kept the same actor even though they moved the show from the 40s to the 70s. I think it was his son or something (I haven't watched it in decades). And I bet DC wanted to keep Chris Pine so Marvel couldn't get the whole set :)

Sure, just let me peel off my winter coat, hat, gloves, scarf, boots, wool jumper, long sleeved t-shirt, tank top, skirt, wool tights, another pair of tights and underwear. Oh, no, I missed the three minutes of sunlight we get per day in november! I guess I’ll just have to try again tomorrow

It’s not a cheese board if there isn’t room to actually cut and serve yourself cheese from it, or if cheese is not the main ingredient.

Officially removing Edward from the succession had practical applications since he could’ve still potentially been seen as realistic candidate for the throne if the fates allowed, whereas Andrew is 11th in line and has no hope of ever taking the reins (or the “reigns,” as it were), and thus removing him from the line

whether the defendant did the thing they are accused of ... you can always just...not convict.

I understand why people become prosecutors, and I understand that lawyers of all stripes and types may occasionally be in a position of advocating positions they find personally distasteful. But I really have to question the basic human decency of someone who is willing to prosecute someone, including retrying the

THIS.

I think it’s also important to remember that 10-12 years ago, no one was available for constant texting, Facebook messaging, or video chatting. We’re now all suddenly supposed to be expected to drop everything for anyone the moment they reach out through any channel (and there are many!).

I came here to say this. Many of my friends suffer from anxiety, depression, dating problems etc. And as a friend I always want to listen to them. But I also have those same issues, and sometimes I can’t handle dealing with it. Being low on spoons takes a toll.

On the one hand, it IS good to check in with people before you’re about to dump something on them. It feels like an ambush sometimes when someone just dumps a bunch of heavy emotional stuff when you aren’t in a position to handle it or respond. If someone just woke up or is running late, they’re not going to be in a
