I am not a religious man, but I firmly believe that the dead deserve—if not respect (for those vile persons who were total fucking shitstains during the course of their lives)—to at least be left the fuck alone once they’ve passed, if only for the sake of those they leave behind.

In the case of someone like Heather

Nope again.

No no no. Being an omnivore doesn’t mean vegetarianism is a way for the average canine to thrive. It isn’t. Most dogs need meat in their diet, period.

Glad you said it. This is a really stupid idea being promoted by rich people with too much time on their hands.

Hear, hear. I hate this shit. The healthiest dogs I’ve seen are usually dogs on raw meat diets. If you own dogs, you know how much they need meat. They crave it all the time—nothing is more beloved to them as a food. You cannot keep meat from a natural carnivore without it being cruel. You want to be vegan? that’s

I try to feed my dog from ethical sources, which in her case is foods based on wild caught fish. I try to choose a food that is good for her and is not produced using animals that spend their lives suffering, but I also understand that expensive food like that isn’t an option for everyone. When it comes to ethical

s/ Yeah, I’m sure that half a dozen animal-loving experts are totally slanted on this too. Who the hell cares about *science* when we have the opinions of musicians and random people who aren’t veterinarians? /s

I’m mostly vegetarian, often vegan and sometime pescitarian (because WTF are labels if we all just do the best we can or want to do). I also volunteered for many years at a high-kill animal control facility and fostered many pups and kits. Vegan shelter pets? NO. NO. NO. Shelters have enough to deal with and too

I’ve posted this a bunch of times. I’m glad someone picked up the torch. PETA should be exposed for the terror they inflict on animals and other people in the name of their pontificating horseshit m

THIS. Not to mention that once the dog gets adopted out, if the new family doesn’t or can’t maintain that diet their new furry friend is going to paint their house brown with diarrhea from the sudden and drastic food switch. Dogs get sent back to shelters for less than that so fuck off, Moby, you’re not helping.

That’s great. Moby just had a city pay three professionals to study a policy that was obviously terrible and would quadruple the food budget.

Data’s a little old but I’d seriously question PETA’s motives on the purpose of shelters.

That’s horrible! Cats can GO BLIND from being put on vegetarian diets, let alone vegan. You probably saved its life a little bit.

Oh, the “vegan cat” I lived next next door to one year in college. I lived in one of those old houses that was split up into apartments and the whole house took it in shifts to smuggle the poor, scrawny thing meat once a day. If you didn’t, it would sit outside your window while you cooked meat and howl.

I’m vegetarian and I would never force my dog to be (or to be vegan). Because I understand science, dogs are carnivores, and humans have evolved to be omnivores. This is like grade 2 stuff.

Most people who (try) to raise their dogs vegan piss me off. Unless you’re willing to spend as much or more on your pet’s food than your own, then vegan dog-raising is not for you.

I’m sorry, but this idea is absolutely horseshit.

This is bonkers. Animal shelters have enough shit to deal with, they don’t need to fend off lunatic granola people trying to police dog diets. Why don’t these people focus on actually helping shelters? Spend their time an resources helping solicit donations to cover expensive vet care?

Like there’s more than one character actor in the world. They should have stuck with Colin Ferrell, that’s someone I could see young dumbledore falling for. Not bleached out jack sparrow.

Right? Beyond all the stuff with heard, im just sick of his face.
