Nothing can make Opel great again. They’ve been producing more or less competent cars for ages, but they have no qualities that make them stand out in any way. Not overly stylish, not overly reliable, not overly cheap, not the best to drive. Most brands/models do stand out in at least one way, yet Opels typically do

“then take a look at a French hatchback and tell us they’re featureless blobs.”

If it’s a lightweight camper top that you can wrangle singlehanded, which I assume is the case (how big could it possibly be?), that adds versatility. Sometimes you want to shelter small cargo from the weather — or from prying eyes and light fingers — more than you want to carry outsized cargo.

It combines the practicality of a sports car with the razor-sharp reflexes of an SUV.

The 301 it’s their low cost entry level sedan and it’s actually pretty great, same engines as in a Partner so great reliabiliy and costs about the same as a 108:

I wonder if they still have the tooling for this?

LOL! You Vadered it. “He is as clumsy as he is stupid” The X6 is the Admiral Ozzel of cars.

Don’t they make an X4 or something now too?

The sad part is, its going to persist because the status quo is the least offensive to both sides (China and US) but the human toll is extreme. But then, when has realpolitik ever gave a damn about people...

You don’t have to hear your crap rattle around or smell something smelly that is in the back. I think it makes a lot of sense. A wagon with the seats down has some cargo advantages, but the baja with a topper has some alternative advantages.

I have to respectfully disagree.

Lol that and the 535i Gran Turismo

Suzuki x90

Its more that China likes having a buffer between it and the 50,000 US troops based in South Korea. Yes, that number might reduce, but Seoul would still want a large US contingent present to protect them from China (assuming an annexation happened), so in effect you’d turn the current DMZ into a border between

That’s right, it’s the Chrysler “TC by Maserati.”

Good art is never pointless.

A Cadillac Escalade pickup. You’ll never use it to haul things because the pearl white paint might get smudged, and the bed’s too tiny to carry anything good anyway.

Now playing

Check out their new lead singer, Floor Jansen. She is, hands down, the best female vocalist I’ve ever heard. If you don’t have time to watch the full live show (two hours well spent), Ghost Love Score at 1:28 is representative.

I can totally vouch for the cheap but hard to kill thing. I’ve owned 4. Use to take one drag racing in high school even with a blown head gasket. It did not care. Then discovered the World Rally Championship and started beating the same car around corners. Still no shits given. I miss that car.

$450 here wouldn’t even get you an empty Yamaha Blaster frame.

Hell, if it were a first generation Dodge Neon (not the Plymouths, I don’t like the bright colour badging) I’d totally drive that shitbox with pride. They’re such visually inoffensive cars it’s hard not to go “D’awwwww” when you see one.
