In remakes such as Godzilla, or when A Tale of Two Sisters was remade to Uninvited, or the Ring series, no one cared about ethnicity and changing the setting of the story which is a lot more of a significant change than this. We do not know yet how the movie will deal with her apperance, or how it will be explained.
