With the overall “world car” strategy automakers are now employing, I would bet this will not be the case. Its more costly to develop 2 or more emissions control systems than to worry about one markets relaxed expectations. Develop for the most stringent, and ship product everywhere else.

the lift certainly didn’t help. AWD only helps under power. While its really easy to be an arm chair racer, staying on power and a bit of left foot brake to set the nose could have avoided the situation. Then again, so could have following posted speed limits.

Having just relocated from Florida to Buffalo, I’ve realized there is an unspoken rule to not mess with someone’s car in the cold. Could a thief abscond with your ride while doing this? of course.
