While not specifically sci-fi and more paranormal, I saw this on late night TV when I was like 6 or 7 years old... and the imagery still sticks in my head 30 years later.

Did not turn on a lamp for three weeks without checking that THIS guy was not inside the lamp shade waiting for me.

Wasn't a kid but the X-Files episode Home freaked me out!

The "slime monster" from Ghostwriter. I swear I was scared out of my mind for days after I saw that episode. I even had a nightmare about it. Hell, I was too scared to be in the shower because I was along and vulnerable and what if it came out of the drain?
