Batman would not do that. He is good and busy with the Spanish tight now. Also you misspelled Spa Microchamps.

Wow so apparently his murder charge isn't even worth mentioning?

Yes. If a woman explicitly gives her consent for a man to do "anything at all" and retains 100% complete control of the situation, then no, it is not rape. Doesn't matter which gender, if consent is given. I mean, I don't support her actually doing it, and I'm sure it was unpleasant. However, he explicitly allowed

I think we can all agree that regardless of whether the parameters of his piece implied consent, she violated him and this was a sexual assault

Yes, it does mean do anything at all—he said those exact words. It wasn't just a "lack of no"—it was a presence of yes. He explicitly allowed it to happen, 100% of his own accord.

I think we can all agree that regardless of whether the parameters of his piece implied consent, she violated him and this was a sexual assault, just as we would consider someone whipping him a physical assault (implicit consent or no).

Marina Abromovic was assaulted during the performance piece that this one was based on. She had her clothes cut off, people cut her skin and one person pointed a loaded gun at her head. It was very disturbing, and she says she felt violated. However, that was her art, and through she says she felt violated, she takes

A lack of "no" doesn't mean consent.

I would have the exact same complicated feelings about this if it were a girl. As a multiple sexual assault survivor and an artist, I find this whole thing confusing and aggravating. I probably need to calm down and think it over more carefully, but if a female artist had made the deliberate choice to not "break

It wouldn't have been a sexual assault or a rape. Having consensual sex with someone is not rape.

they could do whatever they wanted with him

My puzzlement is because felt he couldn't break character during the assault - it seemed like he felt it was a role. I think it's horrifying, but I also can't imagine being so confined by performance art. I do believe him, I just am having difficulty processing the circumstances.

I'm really asking myself if this can be considered rape. Am I a bad person now?

If he had called it a 180-degree V, that would have been fine! However, when the article was first posted, the headline and article repeated the term "V12" over and over without ever mentioning "flat" or "180-degree". Glad to see he's updated it.

um you know most people disagree with autoevolution on that point?

Yes, I see that autoevolution says only 180-degree-V's are flat engines. Their opinion is not met by a lot of the rest of the automotive world. Wikipedia says boxer engines fall under the "flat" category. Subaru calls their Boxer 4 engine a type of flat-4 engine, as did BMW when they were making boxers. Clearly

We're not discussing boxer vs. 180-degree-vee. Both of those engine types fall under the category of "flat" engines. My point stands.

I agree with this. If I ever get an RX-7 FD, it's getting converted to non-pop-up headlamps.

Late model...

You're a late-model full-size enthusiast of luxury saloons? I am late-model and full-size as well! Glad to know we have so much in common!
