Me too. This season they’re especially coming off just really...outdated? I don’t love Leah, but she serves as a strong juxtaposition to Sonja and Ramona. The generational divides are huge and hilarious.

My BIL (a pretty standard Republican) voted for Clinton in 2016 and is now voting for Trump in this year’s election. I hope there aren’t MANY people like that, but we were pretty shocked when he told us.
I’m 5'9" and my best friend is 5'8" and it feels really nice walking alongside her, I hate feeling like a giant next to short women.
I really love Gillian Jacobs and keep hoping she’ll get the recognition she deserves. She starred in a Netflix show called “Love” that ran for a couple of years, and it was great. She’s an awesome actor.
I’m not in SF but am in a high COL area on the East Coast and I’m in a similar boat. Partner and I are home shopping for our first house and our budget isn’t quite $1M but its up there. It is what it is. *shrugs*
I read somewhere that one of the issues is that they didn’t find a lot of people willing to do the show, precisely because of its location. Politicians in DC are not going to want to expose themselves on reality TV so they had less luck casting than in other cities. Its too closed off and private.
My partner and I used to go to the movies at least once a week, sometimes twice. We were proud AMC A List members! It was such a big part of our routine. He’s REALLY missing it...and I’m bummed.
This show is addictive. I started watching it and haven’t binged a show so quickly in a long time. I also just LOVE seeing the crazy houses and the LA setting. Perfect quarantine binge.
You’re looking at this totally backwards. You by no means need to go “enjoy a beer with your buddy” during a pandemic. These protestors are standing up for fundamental rights and the value of black lives. It’s urgent and it’s immediate.
“Sometimes two people just have a violent dynamic that escalates much easier than others.” This is an excellent way to describe it. I had a friend in college who dated a guy and they very much had this dynamic. It was SO toxic and dysfunctional and they both were terrible to each other. Just something about the two of…
Agreed. In my early 20s I dated someone for about a year and a half. After we broke up, he had a string of relationships one after the next for the next several years. A lot of his partners spoke out about him emotionally abusing them and cheating on them. He never abused me, and as far as I know he didn’t cheat on…
I never watched but wasn’t there controversy once because she told a curly haired woman she absolutely must straighten her hair? As a curly haired woman, F THAT NOISE!
This looks so exciting! I watched Bravo’s new reality show Family Karma a few months ago and it did a cool job of displaying Indian families in America and the differences between generations. They discussed some of the arranged marriages and I think it is really important for Westerners to understand how it works. I…
I skimmed the article so forgive me if this was mentioned, but her preteen son was originally a twin. His twin/her other son died as a baby. I totally get your comment but she has definitely experienced tragedy and pain which might contribute to some of her feelings of ennui.
Yeah, to me it is wild they are suing. I’m a teacher and while I didn’t sign up for this, if I had and then found it was just a giveaway, I’d probably laugh about it/say something snarky in my teacher friends group chat, and then move on with my life.
This is why their apologies ring hollow. They don’t know why they’re apologizing. In their minds, they’re thinking “we don’t hate black people, we weren’t trying to get her in trouble because she’s black!” instead of realizing that they 1) associated a black woman with stealing and 2) saw a picture of a black woman on…
It is WILD to me they not only called the police but also the military police. I mean this is truly insane, evil shit.
I’ve despised Stassi for years precisely because she has always been VERY problematic and offensive, but her white privilege has continuously shielded her from ever having to take accountability. Not only has she never taken accountability or learned, but she has only grown in popularity and gained a larger platform.…
UDC is also responsible for the naming of Nathan B. Forrest High School in Jacksonville in the 1950s. They lobbied for this name as a direct response to integrating schools and the civil rights movement. The name wasn’t changed until 2013. These women do some truly heinous shit.
Also, Reese Witherspoon is actually a pretty strong advocate and ally, especially for a celebrity. She has done a lot of work to bring awareness to issues in our country and frequently features black women authors in her book club. Its weird to go after her.
