I get all that. I think what rubbed me the wrong way is that the review that Lizzo is responding to wasn’t even that bad. It was a lukewarm review, rating her album a 6/10, and it was by no means scathing. It just wasn’t completely glowing and heaping praise on her.

Exactly. I watched all of Gilmore Girls for the first time on Netflix a few years back, and now its my “comfort” show that I put on when I’m cooking, cleaning, putting together furniture, etc. Perfect show to have on when I’m doing something else, since I’ve already seen it.

I’m tired of this ideology as well. I majored in History, loved it, became a high school teacher at a small school, eventually got a job at a bigger more established school, and I’m doing just fine. TOTALLY agree. Look, of course consent is important and we all want open communication and respect. But the way he delivered that line, with the camera pausing to focus on him and him clearly enunciating “If you really want me to stop, I’ll stop,” was just very, very, very blatantly me too movement.
