Yeah, what is he talking about? I’m not even sure what else the school could have done, they had already expelled the kid. And if he just walked on campus and pulled the fire alarm, what are they supposed to do? A lot of schools in Florida, especially large schools like this, are built so that hallways are outside.

I am 26 and single, and ever since the holidays I haven’t been that happy about it. Meeting people is hard out there. I’m sending a solidarity high-five to you.

I know that ages for life events can vary region by region, but 28 is really not that old to meet your spouse. In fact, where I live (DC metro area), that could even be on the young side in many cases. I think late 30s and 40s is more the age that has insight into these questions.

I’ve heard rumors about people being fired for all sorts of marital issues in the Catholic schools. I had a friend whose mom worked at a Catholic high school, and when she got remarried to a Jewish man, she was fired.

“Anyone who did anything bad ever must be wiped from the history books” is an invalid and irrelevant argument in this situation. Renaming bridges and taking down monuments is not the same thing as rewriting history. Renaming bridges and taking down monuments is simply no longer celebrating racists and bad people. No

Agreed, and its also the principle of it. Pay MORE when you lose another income...makes no sense.

There is a whole helluva lot of relationship privilege that I wish people would discuss more. I feel like I’m penalized for being single sometimes.

I loved this episode. I thought the time jump was executed really well. Often in shows that do a time jump, they’ll have the characters in completely different life stages, looking physically changed, almost like another life time has passed. In reality, eight months during, for lack of a better phrase, “monotonous

I think it has aged horribly and it is a really bad show. I never watched it and my friend said I should check it out. This was summer 2017 - I was 25. I could not continue watching. I don’t think there is anything empowering about it and I didn’t get why people hailed it as a feminist show when all they seemed to

They can pry my crock pot out of my cold, dead hands.

I’m not sure. I can’t speak for Amy Schumer, but I will always remember my mom teaching me from a very young age to assertively say “no” if I am ever in an uncomfortable position. And she even explained to me that women are conditioned to always be pleasant and always be nice, so we often get into situations that are

I made mojo Cuban pulled pork in my slow cooker last weekend! Its so damn delicious. Ropa vieja is next!

I am loving these comments. I’m flirting with the idea of an Instant Pot and the whole pressure cooker thing terrifies me...but I don’t want fear to deter me from delicious, convenient meals! Last weekend I made pulled pork which required broiling at the end of the recipe. I’ve never broiled anything before, and I’m

I was in the same boat but I started trying it out with small errands. I set a roast to cook one Sunday afternoon and went out with my cousin to get some food, came back 2 hours later, it was fine. I looooooooooove my Crock Pot.

I love my Crock Pot. I’m not a great cook but I don’t want to rely on take-out and frozen meals, so I have a bunch of great recipes that I use for my slow cooker. I love it because its easy to use, really hard to mess up a recipe, and I truly think it makes your meals taste delicious. You should try it!

This is such a good idea and I can’t believe I haven’t thought of it! And the food still tastes really good even with the added step of refrigeration???

I’m an avid Crock Pot user and all-around fan but yes you make a good point. I end up just meal-prepping on Sundays. For example, I have a recipe for a balsamic pork roast. It requires 8 hours on low. Sunday morning no later than 10:30 I prep the ingredients, put them in the Crock Pot, then set it. I do my usual

I’m officially anti-brunch. I LOVE breakfast food - ie pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee, orange juice, eggs benedict, an omelette, waffles, gimme it all. But brunch has taken these foods and put their own spin on it, and I’m not feeling this. I refuse to pay 30 dollars for a fancy brunch when I could get more and better

Good points. I teach 9th grade European history, and my class was discussing Meghan Markle and the British royals. They were asking about some of the racism they’ve seen reported in the news directed to Markle from the British, and we had a great discussion on how due to our respective history, racism in Great Britain

I went hiking today for the first time! I recently moved to Virginia from Florida and its such a different climate/environment, but I’m loving it! One of my goals for 2018 is to have more adventures - big and small. I had a blast today on our hike and plan on exploring more trails in the area!
