Hi Lauren,

In the beginning of your article, you seem to refer to the “UT system” and compare UT to other campuses like UT Dallas. But the University of Texas schools are actually not a system (like CSU schools are). UT Austin and UT Dallas have similar names, but they aren’t affiliated as universities and definitely

“White was the official color of the suffragette movement”

That’s actually just Steve Bannon :)

facts are still relevant — just the convenient alternative facts, not the silly “scientific” facts!

My big project is a poster for my boyfriend (very confident he won’t see comments on Jezebel):

What is the point of anything anymore? Two weeks ago, I was so hopeful about the future

I started eating half an avocado every day — they’re pretty cheap at the grocery store here. V satisfying way to get some fat. :)

I actually do take a supplement to get enough protein — I’m vegetarian, lactose intolerant, and try to avoid eating a ton of soy. I didn’t realize it was a problem (since I was eating a ton of vegetables, not like Doritos all the time or something) until my mom started eating very low-carb (diabetes) and Iwas like...

My sister lives there, so I’ve actually been quite a bit! :) I’ll see if I can get her to start calling it Little D, haha

Can I ask where in Texas you got your degree? :) (I’m from Texas and went to UT Austin for my undergraduate degree.)

Generally subsidized housing, access to a meal plan if living on campus (at least several meals throughout the week from department events), free graduate social events, travel

I’m a doctoral student at one of these schools. The administration pretty much immediately sent us an “FAQ” on the decision and all the ways unionizing would hurt our graduate careers (didn’t even try to sound unbiased ofc). Tbh I doubt it will happen here. Not sure exactly what the advantages would be (no guess from

Did they actually write “Ryan Lochte,” or just “Not Michael Phelps"?

Related: I (a woman) have Crohn’s disease. Which is gastrointestinal and has a main symptom of abdominal pain. After I’d been dealing with the pain for about 4 years, it escalated and I started fainting in public if I turned my abdomen too quickly. At that point I went to the ER (up until then doctors had told me I

“It’s likely the next president, whoever she will be...”

Duh, though?

Ok, leaving everything aside - what DNA test does this guy think could determine someone’s entire racial background?
