*spoilers ahoy*

@avclub-ad834430749e78c48a6092f873a96dca:disqus , honestly, I wasn't sure if he'd last the entire series or just the first 15 minutes, but sure enough, his death ends the first hour.

CBS synergy! Under the Big Brother Dome. Yeah, Stephen King would be ticked, but it wouldn't be the worst adaptation of one of his novels.

Haven't seen On Stranger Tides, but you've nailed my regret in getting sucked into the other two sequels.

I never thought Superman Returns was awful, but the things I liked best about it weren't the things that would make people say, "Yep! This is the franchise anchor we are looking for!"

Hee! Great review. And you know, Dennis Haysbert was playing with supersoldiers long before he was President … sighs in remembrance of Now and Again

Ha! A friend of mine calls it the Polish skin disease channel. I'll have to tell her about the STI variant. Danke!

This is the channel that interrupts the Twilight Zone marathon for wrestling.

Sign me up for Kwanzaagedon. The horrific entity that imperils all will be Sandra Lee's infamous Kwanzaa cake, right?

I assumed there was a tremendous amount of burstage and mangling from being cleaved by a massive, heavy, blunt object.

I call Christopher Walken (The Dead Zone). And one could argue that for whatever else its faults, Tim Curry as Pennywise set the platinum standard for evil clowns.

Amen. And my favorite David Cronenberg movie.

@avclub-aa8199204bbd84f584fe5957410e9e71:disqus Perhaps it's nostalgia and a pre-teen crush on Christopher Walken, but I thought the endings to the book and film versions of *The Dead Zone* worked pretty well. Neither made me want to throw something across the room or at the screen.

Yeah, that was brutal. I was actually glad when the show ended. But then they let go Tim Daly (without much warning, apparently) and literally had his character die in a ditch. While jogging. No goodbye. Feh.

If I remember correctly, I definitely watched the 1st four seasons. Into the fifth. Even watched the spinoff Private Practice. But then I just got exhausted by the craziness and so I chose Private Practice's insane soapiness over Grey's insane soapiness. Did go back to watch the 6th season finale and haven't gone back

I protest! Majandra Delfino was a spot of brightness in a cast of suck.

Todd, I love you, but shut your lying mouth. Golden Years ruled! Felicity Huffman! Frances Sternhagen! Keith Szarabajka! Janitors aging backwards in time! Okay, no, it wasn't American Gothic or The X-Files but for a CBS series playing in the dead of summer (remember when summers had NO NEWS SHOWS … no? Danged kids,

He got … younger.

A longtime Stephen King fan!

There's been quite a bit of coverage, all piggybacking on a new book called 'Sleepless in Hollywood', by Lynda Obst. Salon has an excerpt drawn from the chapter on how the decline in DVD sales is affecting Hollywood. http://www.salon.com/2013/0…
